Some interesting analysis with the perfect rebuttal

Matt Hayes thinks Joe Paterno will outsmart Pete Carroll and his staff.

Right....

The Trojan Empire has the perfect rebuttal that I won't even try to expound upon.

You be the judge.

Heh, yeah.

That was a pretty poorly written article by Hayes. I’m as big a PSU fan as anybody but his reasoning didn’t add up, and it seemed more like a straight opinion than anything else. If looking for reasons why JoePa will outcoach Carroll, I would point to Paterno’s record in bowl games (something like 23-12 in bowl games without looking it up), Paterno’s recent success in bowls (won the last 3 years, with a BCS victory against FSU in their only BCS game to cap the 2005 season.

The rebuttal was fair enough. Maybin coming off the edge against a young USC O-line could very well happen though. It better happen, if you’re a PSU fan like me. Forcing Sanchez to sweat a little bit and leaving the senior secondary a little less time to cover will be one of the major things to watch.
