From the LA Times:
Howland also said if he were naming the starting five today, it would be senior Alfred Aboya at center; junior James Keefe at strong forward; senior Josh Shipp at small forward; senior Darren Collison at point guard and "probably one of the freshmen" at the other guard -- and that most likely means Jrue Holiday.
Asked about USC this season, Howland said, "I'd pick them over us to win the conference."

Could )be worse
Howland could’ve said, “F_ck those retards! We don’t talk about thugs. We have HIGHER STANDARDS of student/athlete achievement here at Ucla. They’re not even on our radar!” (he could have, but he wouldn’t. not ever. the man is full of class, and I find it more than just difficult to NOT LIKE him. it’s almost as if the fucla-fanbase doesn’t deserve a quality guy like Coach Howland. he’s too much of what they’re not. class, honor, and pedigree)
"Surround yourself with people who can't live without football" - 1st tenet of 3 for Bear Bryant's 3 Rules of Coaching . . . . .
Ben is really concerned
The reason he said that is, USC returns just about everyone and Washington is very good and Marcus Johnson is maybe the best shooter and scorerin the conf.. Also he could be feeling Alex Stepheson.
