The line, the crease

Stafon made an incredible cut-back, even when the pulling line still hadn’t lost it’s edge. What he saw was the second wave of the Oregon D attack coming to either pin him against the sideline or come back underneath him (when it’s much too late) so that he COULDN’T cut it back against them.

In short, what a great vision of the field. Now THAT was a’la RBush if I have ever seen it. (which is also a’la HWalker, BSims, MAllen, EDickerson, and Gale Sayers- the original).

Stafon Johnson is so far removed and not yet there in the company of those mentioned above, but he’s on his way. Not taking anything away from JoMac, but to me- he’s gotta continue to improve, come off the bench, master the “return” plays- AND THEN maybe he can earn the right to play alongside CJ Gable and Stafon Johnson. Those two homies got it going. Those two studs should be the ones starting. (with Havili and Jordan giving the a spell or respite). At this point, if Coach Sark continues his aggressive and NOT CUTE playcalling, I’ll just leave it up to HIS PLAYCALLING to determine who gets in on the plays and stop nitpicking for the remainder of this year. (maybe, maybe not? the season is a long and hard one on some. . . . .)

"Surround yourself with people who can't live without football" - 1st tenet of 3 for Bear Bryant's 3 Rules of Coaching . . . . .
