Stepheson probably won't be cleared by the NCAA
Not that I am really surprised but that seems to be the conventional wisdom...
Stepheson, a forward who attended Harvard-Westlake in North Hollywood, petitioned the NCAA for immediate eligibility after transferring from North Carolina because he said he returned home to be closer to his father, who has health problems.
Several sources at USC believe the NCAA will deny the appeal.
And there it is....
Anyone here think that the NCAA could be holding things up (read dragging their feet) because of their frustration in the lack of progress regards to the respective Bush and Mayo investigations?
I do...
They have no incentive to help SC out and this is just one way for them to get their pound of flesh.
The gift that keeps on giving!

Its ok they will be allright
I think this team is very good and will be fine, but he and his parents need to hound ncaa 20 times a day until they hear something.

typical NCAA
Even if they were “punishing” USC for possibly stonewalling the Bush deal, the person who actually gets the shaft is Stepheson. He comes home for his sick dad-hardship enough IMHO-and then gets screwed by the NCAA for no reason except vindictiveness? That makes a lot of sense.
I will be cheering for this guy to suck when he’s on the court-but he shoud be on the court. This year.
