McKnight and Bush?

While I am usually loathe to compare these two guys because I feel it's really an inordinate amount of pressure to place on Mcknight so early in his career but I came across this little tidbit and I thought it was interesting.

Rushing stats R. Bush Freshman year.  (13 games)

521 yards on 90 carries (5.8 avg) with 3 TDs

Rushing stats Mcknight Freshman year. (13 games)

540 yards on 94 carries (5.7 avg) with 3 TDs

Pretty darn similar.  Coincidence or harbinger of great things to come?

one subjective difference
When Reggie took off, he looked like he was going fast.

When McKnight takes off, he doesn't look like he's going all that fast, yet most people can't catch him.

Speaking of, how impressive was that tackle by Vontae Davis (I think) from Illinois? If he can replicate that consistently he'll be playing on Sundays.

I hope some of it is a harbinger
The football stats are great.  At the Rose Bowl, the message on Joe McKnight's eye black was "I Need $."  I hope he doesn't repeat any of Reggie's mistakes when it comes to the extra benefits.  Hopefully he is smarter than Reggie in that regard, and as good or better than Reggie on the field.
