Chauncey Washington is awesome

On the field he had an awesome day yesterday (especially that 9 yd td run).

Off the field, he is a really cool guy.

Earlier today, I went to Pete's a local place with cheap, good food that's right next to my house.  While ordering my friend and I saw Chauncey Washington.  We figured would wouldn't have another shot to say hey, so we went over and introduced ourselves while waiting for our food.

Chauncey is an amazingly cool guy.  Football aside, he's entertaining to talk to, and very easy-going.  He also reinforced a fact that I find very entertaining.  The football team is as impressed with the band as the band is with the football team.  When he said, "you guys are on scholarship right?" and meant it, that definitely made my week.

We talked a little about the game, not mentioning too many specifics, but wished him good luck against UW, and had an overall very enjoyable time.  He was on his way to physical therapy, and was walking with a noticable limp, so hopefully he recovers by competition Tuesday.

Meeting the players is really cool.  Living in LA with celebrities is also really cool.  Being considered a celebrity by the players you meet?  Priceless.

Hope everyone had a good gameday (I know I did), and I'll be at UW this coming weekend, so I'll keep an update on any decent stories.

Yeah the band has scholarships
They're called band grants.  Art likes to try to get you to pay them back if he throws you out just so you know.  But there's no legal way he can force you to pay him back, so I just told him to call my lawyer.  God I hate that old fart.

Did you remind him to go to class?
"who could've possibly expected Reggie to do that??"

no
But i asked him what his class schedule is like.  He's taking 16 units, all on Tuesday/Thursday so he can fit everything in.  He starts at 8:00 and goes straight thru practice til 6:00 or something.

He says he's missed a few times, just because its hard to wake up that early.

Did you remind Brian Price to sign up for classes after he qualified?

Fight on!!! Beat the Huskers!!!
