There was a bit of a controversy in Lincoln when SC had their walk through.USC's quiet walk-through Friday afternoon at Westside High School in Omaha brought a crowd of more than 500 after a local radio station announced where the Trojans practiced.
That forced USC coach Pete Carroll to move the team from the football field to a baseball field that was partially blocked from public view.
"There was a little drama,'' Carroll said. "We had to hide out a little bit. The word got out. Usually we keep it under wraps. Good for the Nebraska fans.''
Westside is the exclusive high school in Omaha and one USC player left a parting gift by hanging on a goal post, which left it crooked.
A friend of mine commented that it was a like a freaking banana republic out there. I though that was funny but I responded that I thought it was more like a Chinese Fire Drill. I know they are passionate out there with their football and I respect them for it but lets save it for the game OK?
What's up with those warm ups? I saw them at Halftime on ESPN, god those are bad, how about some red guys.Someone at Nike should be fired for the warmups supplied to the team this week. The Trojans look like the Iowa Hawkeyes in the black and gold warmups that have no noticeable red, except for in the miniscule USC logo. Maybe they were meant to fake out the Nebraska fans in Omaha.
Agreed, Iowa is east guys. how many of those will end up on eBay or in the trash.
