UCLA Coach Eric Scott Arrested

Moved from the diaries as this thing is now picking up some steam. regardless of the whole rivalry thing it is a terrible thing to see someone put himself in this type of a jam. - Paragon

Here is the story on CBS 2 News.

Arrested for burglary no less. We will have more when it becomes available. I am certainly not going to pass judgment until we get more of the facts. But suffice it to say this does not look good for the Westwood crew, wasn't this guy supposed to be their recruiting savior or something like that?

UPDATE: Here is the link to the arrest report from the LA Sheriff's Dept. You must type in Eric Terrell Scott in the search engine.

UPDATE 2: The LA Times has now got the story here as does the OC Register.

From The LAT:

Eric Scott, wide receiver coach at UCLA, was arrested and charged with felony residential burglary Tuesday, Sgt. Tera White of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Scott's status at UCLA was in limbo pending further investigation, but he could be suspended or fired, a school source said.

…Scott, a former Bruin receiver, was hired as receiver coach in March after spending last season as an intern in the football office. His efforts in the Los Angeles, Northern California, Oregon and Washington had helped produce a recruiting class considered among the best in the Pac-10.

That’s nice about all the recruiting accolades but aren’t all former ucla alums supposed to be the class of society? There are so many things to say but I will hold of for now.

Norwalk?...what the hell would you want to steal in Norwalk?

UPDATE 3: Dohn has a little more on it here on his blog

More Scott

After speaking with police, I can tell you UCLA receivers coach Eric Scott was arrested, along with two other people, outside of the house on 11600 block of Pioneer Boulevard in Norwalk. The police are still investigating the case, although it could be sent to the district attorney's office Thursday, and they are still in the process of trying to figure out who lived in the house that is the focus of the alleged robbery. As for the other two men arrested with Scott, it appears one (Jesus DeAlba) is a former Crenshaw High football player. DeAlba and the other man, Timothy Williams, are both 23 years old.
