Thank you to Superbruin and UclaDJ for having the balls and brains to engage people (particularly us over here) in a civil manner. You represent your University well, and its always good to hear your perspective. Thanks for making your voices heard and giving us a different perspective. Cheers, to, what has up to this point, been a relatively tame offseason for the Los Angeles area.

Let's not start down that path again...

That said, I did read the thread, and in a moment of bipartisanship I must say that I am in agreement with Tasser10 about the l33t speak and IM-style chat threats, inter alia, to what once was described as standard (American in this case) English.

I guess...any more compliments and my UCLA credentials are going to be questioned. Can all this friendly back-and-forth be deemed "fraternizing with the enemy?"
Seriously, though, I have said before that I just don't hold to the notion that I must hate USC fans/alums as well as the sports programs and the institution, so I see no reason to flame posters, unless they start flaming first. I have too many friends who went to USC (one of the hazards of growing up in Orange County to treat the rivalry as a personal thing. So I am happy wishing USC nothing but losses, but wishing their fans/alums well (as long as they don't try to take my job, make more money than me, or have happier lives.) Hmm, maybe I should rethink my approach here...
